Feed Mill Receiving Operator
Job Summary
The operator is responsible for receiving all bulk ingredients in a timely and efficient manner. The operator will be responsible for operating the computer automation systems required to receive and transport ingredients to appropriate bins. The operator will operate all receiving equipment according to established standard operating procedures. The operator is responsible for compliance with all company policies, Local, State, and Federal policies, laws, and regulations.
Essential Duties
Receive and unload all bulk ingredients, both rail and truck, by accurately identifying and weighing ingredients
Complete all necessary documentation to maintain inventory accuracy
Allocate ingredients to designated bins to eliminate inventory errors
Operate all equipment in a safe manner
Collect all necessary samples of incoming ingredients
Keep rail and truck receiving areas clean and orderly
Serve as back up for other feed mill positions
Perform all other duties as assigned by the management
Comply with all company policies
Comply with all Local, State, and Federal laws and regulations
Job Qualifications
Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
Computer proficiency is preferred
Basic math skills needed
Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance
Ability to:
Walk, sit and stand for long periods of time
Climb stairs
Lift 60 pounds and be able to carry up to 20 feet
Possess adequate hand dexterity to move objects
Bend, stoop and crawl
Operate a pallet jack with 2000 pounds of material
Operate a skid steer
Use an 18-pound sledgehammer
Operate a track mobile
Operate a train engine
You must be able to pass criminal background check and drug test.
