Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled High-Level Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced machining skills, a strong understanding of engineering principles, and a commitment to producing high-quality components. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining processes and tooling requirements.
Perform complex machining operations, including turning, milling, and drilling, while adhering to tight tolerances and quality standards.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, ensuring efficient workflow and minimizing downtime.
Conduct regular inspections of finished products and workpieces, utilizing measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify accuracy.
Train and mentor junior machinists, sharing expertise and best practices to enhance overall team performance.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and company policies.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or apprenticeship in machining preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in precision machining, with a strong focus on CNC and manual operations.
Proficient in using various machining tools and equipment, including lathes and mills.
Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques and Cad/Cam.
Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Requirements:
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and programming is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Must be reliable and have their own transportation.
