Seeking a HIGHLY EXPERIENCED quality supervisor for our custom upholstery plant.
MINIMUM 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE in a High-End / Luxury Upholstery Factory
Must have extensive knowledge of sewing, pattern matching and cutting techniques.
Responsible for:
- Reading all work tickets and associated information to identify every required detail
- Reviewing all cut fabric prior to sewing to ensure proper pattern placement
- Compare all fabric to work order to ensure accuracy
- Review all sewn fabric for proper, quality seams, pattern match, etc.
- Review all finished product for quality and appearance
- Ensure fabric is matched to frame correctly and that frame meets all required dimensions
This is a hand-on job. You will actively participate in helping to correct any mistakes which could include tearing down upholstered furniture, unstuffing and re-stuffing cushions, ripping seams, helping to place pattern and fabric prior to cutting, etc. Experience sewing and/or cutting is a bonus.
As a key member of the team you will be expected to pitch in where and when needed which may include pulling frames to stage for orders, helping to manage the ordering queue, helping to package items for shipment, sweeping, cleaning, emptying trash.
