Description
As a member of the IT team, the IT Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stable operation of Windows servers, applications, and services running in a physical and/or virtual environment. This position supports a 24/7 operation consisting of numerous web and client server applications serving customers located across the United States. There is a high expectation in availability, performance, and scalability to support the tremendous needs of our clients
Responsibilities
Create, update, deploy, and maintain workstation and server OS images
Troubleshoot and optimize Windows servers and installed software
Maintain and modify scripts to support business processes
Document system installations, configurations, policies, and procedures where necessary
Act as escalation point for tier 1 helpdesk support team
Perform upgrades and version management of 3rd party applications
Availability during limited off-peak hours (evening/weekend) for planned downtime or emergencies
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of virtualization technologies
o e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V,
Windows OS administration
o 2008, 2012, 2016
Active Directory and Group Policy
Server backup/restore processes
4-year degree or related field or equivalent work experience
Nice To Have:
Database server administration experience (MSSQL)
Email server administration experience (Exchange)
Office 365 Administration
Knowledge of Cisco Route/Switch hardware and operation.
Knowledge of Cisco Voice Technologies. (Call Manager, UCCX)
Relevant technical certifications
