Essential Duties
Perform routine housekeeping in all areas of the mill.
Sweep and clean assigned areas daily to control dust accumulation and clean feed spills.
Dispose of scrap and waste in the proper receptacles.
Keep areas around corn storage and hammer mills clean and organized.
Keep floors free from spills and debris.
Keep tools in proper working condition or report when tools need repair or replacement.
Empty feed cleaner storage hopper.
Assist control room operator with metal removal from dies as needed.
Assist warehouse operator, receiving operator, and maintenance as needed.
Complete Housekeeping Checklist weekly and communicate any issues to mill management.
Properly use, care for and maintain Company utilities and supplies (Required PPE, knives, tools, etc…)
Follow company policy relating to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures, Housekeeping Program and Written Safety Policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Has read and understand the following:
o General Safety Rules.
o Forklift Safety Rules.
o Housekeeping Rules.
o Hazard Communication Program.
o Emergency Action Program.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Exposure to extreme temperatures.
Exposure to wetness and humidity.
Works with, around and near machinery.
Required to occasionally reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, lift, stand and walk.
Pushing, pulling and/or lifting ranges from 40-75 pounds.
Job Qualifications
Requires a high school degree or equivalent.
Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to lift 60 pounds, climbs ladders, and operates a pallet jack with 2000 pounds of material.
