Job Description
E & W Electrical, LLC, has been a family-owned company in business since 1984 focusing on complete generator solutions for residential and commercial customers. E&W offers all aspects of generator services, including sales, design and load analysis, installations, energy and fuel source management, repairs, effective preventive maintenance plans and remote monitoring. The electrician’s goal is to produce and maintain well-functioning electrical connections to minimize the probability of accidents as well as failure for the power systems.
Responsibilities
Assist in the installation of automatic generators including load management circuitry and multi-layer surge protection.
Assist in electrical service work including outlet replacements, fixture installations, control equipment, feeder installations and electric car chargers.
Plan material usage to minimize waste.
Responsible for documentation for materials used in each installation.
Read provided documentation concerning generators and their function; be willing to learn theories associated with electron movement through use of combustion engines, battery, or photovoltaic.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year’s electrical experience in an electrical wiring environment.
Valid NC driver’s license and good driving record.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Trade school class completions a PLUS.
Must provide own hand tools, list of needed tools will be provided during hiring process, payroll advance does exist for tool purchases and can be paid back over time.
Must be willing to work 40 hours per week, overtime occasionally.
Capable of installing residential wiring through residential crawl spaces.
Capable of hand digging for underground wiring if needed, we use trenchers when practical, but hand digging is needed for some systems.
Capable of lifting fifty pounds.
Capable of working while on a ladder.
Capable of working outside when hot or cold.
