Job Summary:
Our business is growing! We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of forklifts and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with various tools. A Forklift Mechanic will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, providing exceptional service to our customers.
Duties:
Diagnose mechanical issues with forklifts, heavy equipment and machinery.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems, engines, and other components.
Utilize power tools and hand tools to execute repairs effectively.
Conduct tire service and suspension repairs for heavy vehicles.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working in the field.
Skills
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding their equipment needs.
Proficiency in hydraulics, and forklift maintenance.
Familiarity with operating various power tools safely and efficiently.
Knowledge of service procedures for heavy machinery.
Ability to ensure proper functionality of equipment.
Experience working with many different brands such as Caterpillar, Crown, Hyster, etc. is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing issues.

Job Types: Part-time
Pay: Up to $30 per hour
Expected hours: 20+ per week. Employee work efforts determines their own paid hours. How many hours one bills out equals to how many hours the employee is paid.
Benefits:
Tools provided and work side by side with owner for starting wage. Must have own transportation to meet at different jobs.
or provide own transportation (a forklift mechanic outfitted work truck) and tools for increased wages.
Schedule:
4 hour shift or
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
No weekends
