Southern Blacktop, Inc is a reputable paving contractor specializing in mill and overlay work, seeking a dedicated and skilled Foreman/Superintendent to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects across North & South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Georgia.

Competitive salary: $75,000 – $125,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)

Your Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee paving operations, ensuring high-quality results
Assist in recruiting and training new crew members
Maintain consistent production without compromising quality
Supervise the operation of various paving machines (Leeboy, Weiler, Cat skid steers, millheads, rollers, sweepers, etc.)
Travel 1-2 weeks at a time, with occasional weekend work during busy seasons
Contribute to a safe and efficient job site
Various duties as needed per Management
The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 5-7 years of crew lead experience in paving
Strong knowledge of paving equipment and operations
Proven leadership skills and a dedication to quality workmanship
Ability to travel and adapt to varying schedules
Clean driving record and pass DOT physical
CDL preferred but not required
Willingness to mentor others and help build a reliable, skilled crew
Ability to display skillset during practical part of interview
Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License
Full knowledge of paving machinery and equipment
Ability to work in a team, manage crews, and uphold safety standards
