A Service Technician at Superior Trailer performs general trailer services and repairs. A Service Technicians primary responsibility is to diagnose, troubleshoot, fix problems and make repairs correctly. A Service Technician must be able to communicate with their Service Advisor to interpret problem areas and or repairs made to customer trailers. Service Technicians are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.
We are looking for a long-term candidate who is seeking a secure and rewarding form of employment.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret repair orders using a Ipad.
Perform MIG and other types of welding based projects.
Install electrical and hitches on customers vehicles. Fix damaged trailers such as light body and frame work to electrical. Customize and upgrade trailers to fit customer needs.
Effectively communicate to the office staff and customers to up sell services and products and/or explain the root cause of a problem.
Ensure repair orders are completed in a timely manner with exceptional quality.
Assist other coworkers in the assembly and preparation of trailers when a shipment arrives.
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma/GED preferred.
2+ years experience operating as a commercial welder.
Current and valid certification.
Experience working with power tools and electrical equipment.
Basic computer skills to clock in and clock out of jobs and add parts to a repair order.
