Bindery Operator 3 provides leadership and a high level of skill sets in operations of bindery equipment.  Ensures quality and productivity levels by assisting management with training and motivating employees to meet customer requirements and deadlines.Responsibilities:Set up, operate and troubleshoot a variety of bindery and/or inserting equipment.  Determine root cause of operating errorsInspect equipment for safety issuesTroubleshoot problems to maintain quality standards and keep equipment in good running conditionMay maintain and update daily production records and produce reports.May operate automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders) that contain numerous interrelated process stations that are fed collated sheets or signatures and perform such functions as vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering and delivering or stacking completed books, magazines or catalogsMake needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple work stations on a single machineAssume a leadership role in directing crew activities to meet production deadlines by adhering to work instructions and working safely and efficiently.Monitor quality, output and productivity
