What You Will Do:

Join a rotational training program within the Supply Chain function. The program will provide training for individuals in key areas within Supply Chain to obtain breadth and depth of knowledge which will be used to improve processes and programs as well as build leadership capability.

Procurement

  • Measure, monitor, and improve On time supplier shipments using Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN).
  • Review weekly planning metrics, monitor overall performance of suppliers, analyze trends, and report issues on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Daily update of all shortage information to Plant personnel utilizing critical parts database.
  • Inventory Management / Control and Reduction
  • Review and monitor early shipments weekly; review and adjust transit times
  • Maintain accuracy of open orders.
  • Process rejects, work with Quality Assurance and suppliers where necessary
  • Regular review and maintenance of safety stock levels.
  • Provide corrective actions for receiving discrepancies.

Managing Suppliers

  • Release Orders and Shipping schedules on a weekly basis
  • Report all potential shortages to production
  • React to short lead customer demands utilizing risk analysis process
  • Manage combined orders for Supplier.
  • Review missing/delayed ASN’s and Acknowledgements.
  • Action Purchase Order Response (POR).

Project Support

  • Contribute to and support major Divisional supply projects and/or assignments (i.e., Supply Chain activities, Marketing, and new product introductions), improving efficiencies or processes.
  • Provide material updates on Visual Control Board to support New Product prototype builds and start of production.
  • Continuous supplier performance improvement: Health Check process, supplier packaging improvement, etc.
  • Participate on internal continuous improvement project activities including: Goal Deployment Plans, Value Stream Mapping, Plan For Every Part, etc.

Education and Skill Requirements:

  • REQUIRED: Associates or BA/BS degree in Business (w/concentration in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Logistics.)
  • 2+ years experience in Supply Chain; business and Management skills; project management
