Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the construction/contractor industry for the role of an Accountant in Hickory, North Carolina. In this position, you will be tasked with managing accounting functions, maintaining balance sheet accounts, and utilizing Sage Timberline software in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Responsibilities: Manage and execute all accounting functions, ensuring financial compliance and accuracy. Maintain balance sheet accounts, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and accurate. Utilize Sage Timberline software to facilitate accounting processes and procedures. Conduct AIA Billing, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and documented. Manage Full Cycle Payroll, ensuring all payroll processes are completed accurately and on time. Process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Maintain accurate customer credit records, providing up-to-date information and facilitating customer service. Resolve customer inquiries, providing high-quality customer service and maintaining customer satisfaction. Monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate actions when necessary. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Functions Proven ability to manage Balance Sheet Account Experience in utilizing Sage Timberline software Familiarity with AIA Billing procedures Experience with Full Cycle Payroll processing Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines in the construction/contractor industry Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred Familiarity with local, state, and federal tax regulations Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
