Smurfit Westrock is looking for quality individuals to join our Production team at our facility in Claremont, NC.
HIRING EVENT
When: Wednesday, June 4th
Time: 9:30am 12:00pm and 1:30pm 3:30pm
Where: WestRock Facility - 2690 S R 2436,
Claremont, NC 28610
We are interviewing for the following position: PRODUCTION WORKER
Starting pay: $17.51 an hour
Extra $1.00/hour for night shift
Schedule: 7pm-7am and 7am-7pm
o 4 days on, 4 days off
The Production worker/Feeder Catcher inspects cartons for defects and packs out product for shipment. When gluers are on make-ready, the Packer/Inspector will work in the Sorting Area. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery and powered equipment.

What You Need to Succeed
Minimum High School Diploma/GED
Must pass company pre-employment testing, including color blindness test
Ability to work overtime, weekend work and various shifts depending on your position
Must be willing to work any available shift
Ability to lift, push or pull 50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift
Basic computer skills and good mathematical ability, including good understanding of measurements
Ability to work in a team environment and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment for long hours
Must complete cGMP training and Departmental QOP training
