This is a 2nd shift position. 2nd shift hours are 3:00 pm - 1:00 am Monday -Thursday, with Friday hours determined by production requirements. Must be willing to train on 1st shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares manufactured machinery or parts for paint by cleaning off any unwanted residue or particles
Clean and tack machine free from grease and dirt to set up and ready for paint
Fill cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface
Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated or painted
Remove tape from machine or parts after paint
Uses pressure washer to clean, spray off and add coatings to machine and parts for painting
Remove any unwanted particles from equipment in preparation for shipping
Removes rust from metal with electriobrush, DA sander, wire brush or steel wool
Must be able to operator forklift and heavy equipment
Physical Requirements
Employee is regularly required to stand
Employee is frequently required to walk, use hands, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Employee is occasionally required to climb up to 8 - 12 feet and maintain balance
Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision
