It requires heart & science to creatively tackle problems, deliver breakthroughs, and build the life-saving medicines of tomorrow, today!We are looking for people who are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives; to help us make the world Healthier, Cleaner and Safer.Senior Business ManagerHigh Point, NC | Pharma Services Group | SoftgelsDevelop and manage the business relationship with commercial clients, through understanding the client’s organization and business needs, in order to improve client service and satisfaction in the overall best interest of Patheon.Generate organic growth through identifying and developing new business opportunities, partnering with Sales, and the successful completion of Technology Transfers.Serve as the liaison between Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) and Drug Product Services (DPS) management to coordinate the introduction of new products from the PDS pipeline.Core Proficiencies:

Capable of remaining calm while handling complicated issues and maintaining an optimistic outlook.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)

What will you do?Client Experience and Relationship Management:Acts as the internal client advocate and leader of assigned business at the site while leading regular and ad hoc customer meetings, site visits, and Business Review meetings with assigned accounts.

Ensures that service levels are being met, and that required planning and technical information is being exchanged between the site functional departments and customers.

Leads resolution of significant issues with the client through coordination and teamwork of internal resources to identify and carry out a corrective action plan, while protecting the Softgels Business interests and image.

Ensures client and Thermo Fisher Scientific are operating in compliance with the contractual requirements (accruals, bill backs, service charges, volume tier metrics, etc.)

Participates in projects including representing Business Management as a member of process improvement and capital project teams.

New Business Development:You will partner with the sales team to identify product and service expansion opportunities, using relationships with existing customers.

Completes commercial assessments and analyzes data using Excel for services outside the Master Services Agreement.

Seeks to understand changes, risks, and opportunities to demand forecasts by exploring the marketplace and gathering business intelligence to build demand models.

Financial and Forecast Management:

Verifies congruency vs contractual commitments in forecasts and ensures client’s forecasts are accurately represented in the S&OP.

Assists in development of annual commercial revenue budget as well as annual operating plan

Quotations and Supply AgreementsUnderstand and supports both the Site and Sales team in the quotations process while representing the site interests in technology transfer and manufacturing supply agreement negotiations.

Identifies and renegotiates unfavorable business terms and ensures new business arrangements are amended to existing MSA's

Use quotation tools to build extended service proposals for stability, regulatory, and ad hoc technical services, etc.

Understands and implements the key requirements identified in the client contracts including pricing, payment terms, term of contract, yield reconciliation, etc.

How will you get here?Education:

University Degree in Life Science, Finance, or Business preferred with relevant CMO/Pharmaceutical Proven experience

Experience:

Typically, 6+ years of previous related experience in a CDMO, biologics, or pharmaceutical industry.

Experience in project management, account management, sales or marketing with internal or external client-facing responsibilities with exposure to business development activities.

Pharmaceutical or Contract Manufacturing proven experience strongly preferred.
