Description If you're looking to give your accounting career a boost, Robert Half currently has a Staff Accountant position open at a growing firm in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry. This company is located in the Huntersville, North Carolina region and is offering a dynamic, mulit-faceted short-term contract / temporary opportunity where effort is rewarded. Responsibilities held by the Staff Accountant include the preparation of monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. During the monthly close, your will also be in charge of many aspects of internal reporting. You'll also review schedules for the reporting processes, stay in touch with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and play an active role in compliance.What you get to do every single dayAd-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed
Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision
Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process
Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management
Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Background working with accruals
Deep understanding of general ledger
General ledger experience
General familiarity with SAP HANA
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Accrual Entries experience highly preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
General Ledger System experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of SAP
Practical knowledge of Accrual Accounting
Adeptness in SAP ECC
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
experienced organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Recent and relevant accounting experience
