The Superintendent – Continuous Improvement (CI) leads the day-to-day execution of the Haile CI program, owning the initiative pipeline, valuation discipline, recurring assurance activities, and departmental engagement. The role serves as the operational anchor for CI and Risk at Haile, ensuring no genuine improvement falls through the cracks and that the team's value contribution is visible and defensible to corporate CI and the Board. The Superintendent deputizes for the Manager – CI/Risk when required and is expected to develop into a Manager – CI/Risk succession candidate within two to three years.Own the Haile site CI initiative pipeline end-to-end: identification, scoping, valuation, gating, tracking and close-out, in line with the OGC CI Framework and High-Level Valuation Guideline.Configure every Wired Up initiative with the correct benefit category and a working VDT-based benefit calculation; manual benefit entry without defensible methodology is not acceptable.Operate the project selection cadence with the Manager – CI/Risk and Senior Management Team, producing a transparent priority classification matrix and current-year plan tied to budget and bottleneck strategy.Run fortnightly initiative health-checks across the portfolio and lead close-out reviews on completed initiatives, including written learning capture.Department Engagement and Recurring AssuranceHold a recurring engagement rhythm with each operating department (Mining, Process, Maintenance, Technical Services, Commercial) to capture meaningful changes in-flight rather than retrospectively.Coach department leads and idea owners through the valuation guideline; maintain a transparent log of in-flight conversations and emerging opportunities.Own Haile's contribution to the annual insurance renewal cycle, MAT/business interruption assessments, audit and assurance reviews, and maintain a risk-and-recurring-activity calendar.Lead site readiness for internal and external CI audits, including evidence packs and corrective-action close-out.Reporting, Governance and Strategic IntegrationPrepare monthly Haile CI reports and dashboards; lead monthly CI reviews with the Senior Management Team and represent Haile in quarterly Group CI reviews.Produce defensible variance commentary on every active initiative and manage CI budget tracking against the approved departmental budget.Provide the operational backbone for the Leading for Performance program pilot and Mining Operating System (MOS) rollout, integrating CI cadence with new operating rhythms and bottleneck management.Coach idea owners and Specialists in embedding change through behaviours, RARs, scorecards and variance reports so improvements sustain after project close-out.People Leadership and SafetyProvide leadership and coaching to Specialists and Analysts as the team grows, including objective setting, feedback, performance reviews and development planning.Build effective relationships across the Haile site and broader OceanaGold network (Macraes, Waihi, Didipio, Brisbane) to broaden CI reach.Perform all work safely, correctly use all PPE, obey all health and safety instructions, attend pre-shift safety meetings, complete Stop-Think and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) prior to undertaking tasks, and report all incidents, near-misses and workplace hazards.Implement CI initiatives following dedicated change management processes to ensure change risk is mitigated and outcomes are as expected.
