Lead quality recovery efforts for underperforming suppliers by managing root cause investigations, containment actions, and long-term corrective action plansRespond quickly and effectively to supplier quality crises to minimize supply chain disruptions and ensure continuity of supplyMonitor supplier quality performance using key indicators such as PPM, non-conformance reports (NCRs), audit findings, and first article inspection (FAI) resultsInitiate and manage improvement or escalation plans based on supplier performance data and trendsCollaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and internal quality teams to align on quality expectations and drive consistent standardsFacilitate structured problem-solving activities such as 8D reports, 5 Why analysis, and root cause workshops with suppliersConduct or support supplier audits, quality system evaluations, and production readiness reviews in line with industry and customer requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, APQP, PPAP)Ensure suppliers comply with all relevant regulatory, contractual, and quality management system standardsTrack and report progress of supplier recovery activities, ensuring clear communication with internal stakeholders and customersDevelop and maintain supplier quality scorecards, using data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
