Coordinating onsite development teams and managing a project for custom software development is critical.


Our Software Engineering team is looking for a Project Manager to collaborate with our Product Management and Software Engineering groups to successfully realize our product roadmap, and its subprojects, in an agile development environment. Integrated management of schedules, issues, and risks for concurrent projects is the critical mission for this role.


In order for a candidate to be successful, you must be highly self-motivated and directed, committed to solving problems efficiently, and interested in being part of an organization committed to continuous improvement. This is a leadership position that must be able to set the standard for integrity and professionalism, excite and motivate a diverse team, and facilitate the resolution of complex issues.


ESSENTIAL:



  • Education: Bachelor of Science in appropriate field.


  • Experience: 5+ years of experience managing multiple software development projects in all phases of the software lifecycle, 2+ in an agile environment. Experience managing related projects involving multiple development teams, in a highly collaborative environment with product owners and stakeholders.


  • Project management methodologies, tools and templates (including project planning, schedule development, scope management and cost management).


  • Plan future releases to align with release windows


  • Manage risks and resolve issues that impact release scope, schedule and quality


  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered on time


  • Analyze the software delivery pipeline to identify waste and improve throughput


  • Communicate all key release deliverables, commitment and change requests


  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams




    • Conduct release Readiness Reviews, Milestone Reviews and business Go/No-Go Reviews


    • Promote effective analysis to determine root cause of application/product/services problems; utilize experience and observations to resolve issues and drive creation of best practices


    • Strive continuously to identify areas for increased efficiency, process improvements and support proactivity in delivering high quality results


    • Analytical and problem solving skills to manage multiple facets of a project simultaneously.


    • Experience with projects involving the integration of off-the-shelf and custom-developed applications to realize the overall solution.


    • Track record of customer focus and stakeholder management, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises.


    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


    • Ability to work independently as well as with team members.


    • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.


    • Excellent understanding of an organization's goals and objectives.


    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute on tasks in a high-pressure environment.

    • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS).


    • Previous experience working with accounting and financial business functions and/or software.


    • Previous experience working with title insurance, real estate, and mortgage banking business functions and/or software.


    • JOB FUNCTIONS:


    • Perform the relevant project management processes (scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, and stakeholder management) to ensure that the required deliverables are completed appropriately.


    • Work collaboratively with Business, Engineering and IT stakeholders to align monthly release prioritization and execution.


    • Monitor and manage the project baselines to ensure activities are occurring as planned.


    • Proactively identify risks and issues on projects, and lead the team in the development of risk management and issue management plans.


    • Identify potential points of contention for missed deliverables; create and implement strategies to mitigate shortfalls in the timeline and/or budget.


    • Effectively communicate project expectations and progress in a timely and clear fashion.


    • Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members to take positive action and accountability for their work.
