ABOUT THE JOB The HR Generalist serves as a key business partner to manufacturing leadership and employees, driving workforce effectiveness, employee engagement, compliance, talent acquisition, and organizational performance. This role provides coaching and mentoring to our supervisors to strengthen our position as the preferred place of employment in the community and maintain positive associate relationships. The HR Generalist role thrives in a fast-paced production environment and balances day-to-day HR support with proactive initiatives that improve retention, accountability, safety culture, and employee experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Partnership & CultureServe as the primary HR partner for associates and supervisors across multiple departments and shifts, resolving concerns proactively and providing excellent customer service. ✏️Partner with EHS and Operations teams to champion a strong safety culture.Coach supervisors and managers on performance management, employee development, corrective actions, accountability, and conflict resolution. ✏️Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and psychological safety.Employee Relations & ComplianceInvestigate employee concerns, policy violations, complaints, and workplace conflicts in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.Partner with the Leaves & Accommodations team to manage FMLA, ADA, and other leave-of-absence cases.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, and help leaders understand and apply policies in a consistent, people-centered manner.Assist with policy development, communication, implementation, and enforcement.Talent & RetentionPartner with leaders to execute talent initiatives that attract and retain high-performing team members, including recruitment, leadership development, succession planning, and engagement.Identify staffing needs and develop action plans to meet them. ✏️Facilitate onboarding programs that accelerate associate integration and productivity.Conduct stay interviews and analyze turnover trends to identify and implement retention strategies.Assist in developing and implementing training programs. ✏️Data & CompensationPrepare and analyze reports on turnover, absenteeism, staffing, engagement, training, and workforce demographics, and use the trends to recommend ways to improve workforce effectiveness. ✏️Support compensation initiatives, including market analysis and planning.CommunityAssist in organizing company functions and community relations activities. ✏️May perform other duties as assigned.
