Join our Nature-based educational team in Sneads Ferry, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess the skills necessary to foster a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring the welfare of all students. This role requires a commitment to child development principles and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning atmosphere.
Foster child welfare by ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
Utilize Nature-based philosophies to enhance educational experiences and engage students.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development.
Provide guidance and support in areas of special education and early intervention as needed.
Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Stay current with Nature-based principles and practices, integrating them into daily activities when applicable.
Supervise classroom assistants or volunteers, providing training and support as necessary.
Requirements
ECE required or Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or Education or related field preferred.
We are also hiring teacher $16 hr, 24 hrs week with Edu 119 or 1 year childcare experience for 12mos-24mos class.
Proven experience in behavior management and classroom management techniques.
Strong skills in lesson planning tailored to diverse learning needs.
Knowledge of child welfare practices and commitment to fostering a safe environment.
Familiarity with Nature-based methods is highly desirable.
