Seeking Metal Fabricator!
This Candidate is experienced in building metal components.
Our facility is North of Elizabeth City, NC, off of Rt 17
Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting documentation such as engineering blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical specification sheets
Fabricating metal components or structures to specification as assigned
Setting up metal work machinery, including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, tooling and design templates for working order in a safe and productive manner
Quality checks and Double-checking design specifications before and after on finished products and then moving to staging area
Lay out parts according to work order and or structural drawings
Perform math functions in standard; reading tape measures, taking measurements, marking material and add and subtract simple fractions
Tack or weld structural parts into place using wire feed welding equipment (MIG WELDING)
Conforming with established safety and quality procedures, rules and standards of OSHA and state and company guidelines
Perform other tasks as assigned
Experience:
Required 3 years hands-on experience
Previous work experience as metal/ mechanical fabricator
Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge, skills and ability associated with position
Candidate should have considerable knowledge of the standard practices and or methods of this trade
Must have a good eye for detail and excellent mathematical skills
Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters and drill presses
Able to lift and manipulate large metal objects
Ability to stand for long periods
