Bilingual Human Resource Coordinator (English & Spanish)

Select Genetics is the leading supplier of poults to growers and companies across the world and has operations in eight US States. The Bilingual Human ResourceCoordinator provides support for the HR function in the farms, hatchery, and transportation department. The position reports to and is supervised by the Human Resource Lead. Working in close collaboration with Select Genetics Leadership, the Bilingual Human Resource Coordinator performs all human resource and administration functions for the state location including safety, clerical, and transportation support. The HR Coordinator provides support for the HR function in the farms, hatchery, and transportation department. The position reports to and is supervised by the Human Resource Lead.

Operates as a leader within Select Genetics, internal consultant and coach to leadership and employees in the development and implementation of highly effective human resource business policies, processes, and employment practices.

Responsible for the facilitation of employee recruitment process.

Ensures that human resource practices comply with federal and state laws.

Facilitates the orientation and on-boarding of all new employees.

Interfaces with employees on all issues while documenting all processes.

Effectively monitoring and facilitating salary increases according to company policies.

Supports the company’s annual benefit open enrollment process.

Supports benefit program for state location.

Conducts and/or facilitates the provision of all mandatory employee trainings.

Coordinates the workers compensation process for state employees.

Assists in preparation for insurance investigations.

Receive, code and send invoices to accounting department.

Other duties and projects as assigned by direct supervisor.

Cross training of essential duties with other office personnel.

Understanding or willingness to learn HR principles and practices.

Ability to speak, write and read English and Spanish.

Proficient in computer-based systems.

Strong interpersonal, analytical and judgement skills required.

Excellent verbal and written communication English/Spanish skills required.

Demonstrate sound ethical decision making.

Ability to model core values as a representative of the Select Genetics.

Ability to provide exceptional customer service with Select Genetics customers, employees, and the public.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and the public.

Ensures confidentiality with Select Genetics and staff members.

Must be self-motivated and well organized with extreme attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

SHRM Certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP), is preferred.

Two-year Accounting or Administrative Assistant Associates Degree or equivalent required; or 3+ years related HR experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Proficiency with MS Office required.

Proven problem solving and change facilitation abilities.

Additional required skills and abilities include a customer-service orientation; the ability to successfully handle multiple demands simultaneously; strong time management and organizational skills; attention to detail; strong bilingual communication skills in English/Spanish including verbal, written and listening; the ability to read and interpret company policies and procedures, the ability to communicate and interact productively with all levels of employees, and internal and external customers; the ability to work under pressure; and, the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. The HR Coordinator will work collaboratively to best align HR practices with the evolving organization needs and team-oriented structure. This position will be a brand ambassador for Select Genetics unique company culture.
