Payroll/Accounting Specialist (Part-Time or Per Diem)

We are a growing in-home care agency seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll/Accounting Specialist to support our administrative team. This role is perfect for someone with payroll or accounting experience who enjoys flexible hours and a supportive work environment.

Job Responsibilities

Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll for caregivers, nurse aides, and nursing staff

Review timesheets, EVV entries, mileage, and shift logs for accuracy

Enter payroll data and maintain payroll records

Assist with billing, invoicing, and payment tracking

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable

Reconcile financial records and resolve discrepancies

Maintain compliance with wage laws and agency policies

Prepare payroll and financial reports as needed

Protect confidential information and ensure accurate documentation

Provide support during audits or compliance reviews

Qualifications

1–2 years of payroll or accounting experience required

Home care, healthcare, or staffing agency experience preferred

Knowledge of payroll laws, overtime rules, and basic accounting

Experience with payroll or accounting software (Xero, ADP, Paychex, etc.)

Strong computer skills (Excel, data entry, email)

Excellent attention to detail and organization

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Strong communication skills

Schedule & Pay

Part-time or per diem position
