The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for the preparation and review of the assigned construction estimate packages; implementing department standards and procedures while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of estimate packages. The project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for getting jobs involving any concrete work. They must be able to read/review plans, estimate the project, make proposals, specifications, Addendum's/any other related documents of the project, communicate with GC's on the phone. These skills are required so that they develop a competitive estimate/bid package. They must estimate labor, material, and time requirements in order to be able to compute the overall cost of the project.
Duties and responsibilities: Maintain a constant workflow of the projects geared for construction business in the tringle area. Cultivate existing and new relationships with clients and general contractors. Perform project estimates with estimating software and build budgets for CIP "capital improvement plan" concrete scopes. Responsible for turning over to the pre-construction department, completed estimates with scope of work, field budgets and cost analysis. Working with a pre-construction coordinator for material quotes from vendors. Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates. Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques. Collaborating with the business team and conducting site visits when needed to have better working knowledge of every capability.
