Dewberry's Raleigh, NC office is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) in the Asset Management Department. The Asset Management Department focuses on condition assessments, studies, investment plans, etc. The APM is an office liaison for clients; responsible for managing projects from concept through final delivery. Also responsible for assisting the Department Manager (DM) in supporting the client - maintain secondary POC, providing feedback to the DM in order to quickly solve problems; providing quality planning and engineering documents that meet the client’s desires and budget. In short, the APM assists the DM in making them a “Client for Life”, helping the client to achieve both their organizational goals. Attend meetings with the client and issue minutes when the Department Manager cannot attend or accompany the DM to meetings.
Assist in the conducting of fieldwork and at times take the lead in this effort.
Organize and direct frequent in-house meetings under the direction of the DM.
Provide input to the DM in regards to scheduling personnel. Work with the DM in the preparation of detailed personnel loading by task interfaced with the detailed schedule.
Assist the DM in the preparation of storyboards and detailed project timelines.
Manage and analyze asset data, working with the DM, other AM team members, and engineers to accurately create reports and deliverables.
Assist the DM in the organization and maintenance of the project deliverables.
Assist the DM in the coordination of all the disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
Under the direction of the DM, arrange for in-house quality review primarily for the DM to ensure that all of the clients' needs and requests have been accommodated. Assist the DM to ensure and coordinate among all of the disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
Assist the DM in the creation of marketing responses and proposals, Participate in project interviews and other marketing efforts for Asset Management.
Assist and oversee the completion of final deliverables, including, but not limited to, reports, studies, capital improvement plans, and master plans.
Copy the DM on all communication (Emails, tele conv, etc) with the client, architect and outside consultants.
Accomplished (3+ years of experience) Construction Professional (Engineer, Architect, or Contractor); knowledgeable of construction process, familiar with AIA and state construction contracts; self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Well organized, takes good notes. Good conceptual understanding of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and structural systems with general knowledge of system operation, space requirements, and cost.Don’t meet every single requirement?
