Utilizing a fleet of 24 ground ambulances and operates type I, II, and III ambulances. The adult and pediatric specialty care teams provide medical transport 24 hours/day. The role of the Emergency Medical Technician is to provide patient care and /or operation of an ambulance as part of the Medical Center's critical and non-critical transport program. Provides documentation of BLS patient conditions and cares as needed for patients within the scope limits of practice for an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic. Cleans and exhibits proper operation of ambulance, associated equipment and work area. Performs routine daily inspections and preventive maintenance of ambulances. Other duties that may be assigned.Experience Requirements:1 Year Clinical - Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Preferred - And 1 Year Emergency Vehicle Operations PreferredEducation Required:High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And Certificate Emergency Medical Science Required - Or Associate's Degree Emergency Medical Science RequiredLicensure/Certification Requirements:Emergency Medical Technician - Basic or Higher Required - And Maintain Vehicle Operator Insurability RequiredHours of Work:day shift track (0645-1915), 3 shifts per weekWeekend Requirements:As NeededCall Requirements:none
