You will use your wide breadth of security and engineering experience to validate project requirements, drive best-practice security patterns, and resolve functional and technical issues between the various teams. As part of the infrastructure team, we are where the rubber meets the road in terms of executing security requirements as governed by the Global Information Security organization. You’ll utilize your understanding of microservice architecture, DevOps, and Kubernetes to drive standardization within these tools to improve consistency of application of security standards. You are especially adept at cloud security best practices and have experience remediating cloud security issues along with creating or adjusting policies, guardrails, or automated alerts. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of cloud access patterns, landing zones, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) configuration and has relevant experience implementing these processes.CANDIDATE PROFILERequired 7+ years experience in information technology application development, DevOps automation, or systems engineering Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field or equivalent education, certifications, and experience 7+ years experience in engineering solutions in public cloud environments, preferably AWS 7+ years experience in script development using Ansible, Terraform or related tools. 7+ years experience in script development utilizing python, PowerShell, bash or similar experience Systems engineering Experience with RedHat Linux and Amazon Linux environments Systems engineering experience with Windows Server 2012 – 2022 environmentsPreferred Experience engineering systems subject to Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance requirements Experience managing and/or actively participating in PCI, SOX, SOC or equivalent audits Experience in AWS, Azure, and AliCloud public cloud environments Management VMWare ESXi, vCenter and related portfolio of tools and systems Experience using Hashi Packer Experience in the design, implementation, and operations support of mission critical solutions Embraces DevOps/SRE mentality of automation Experience with containerization, docker, and/or Kubernetes Base of experience in software development Past experience in a security-centric role Very good understanding of network technologies (layer 2-3, IP stack, CIDR routing) Demonstrated experience delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Excellent problem-solving skills working both independently and within cross-functional teams within a complex organizational structure Excellent understanding of concepts including change management, testing, and patterns and tools used to ensure high system availability Experience supporting triage and troubleshooting in production environments Strong attention to detail, ability to perceive second order effects, and effectively manage demanding schedules and competing requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a wide range of audiences including executives, business stakeholders, auditors and IT teamsTHIS IS A HYBRID ROLE with the expectations of at least two days per week working in the Bethesda HQ location (Strongly Preferred)California Applicants Only: The pay range for this position is $46.17 to $100.56 per hour.Colorado Applicants Only: The hourly pay range for this position is $46.17 to $91.42.Hawaii Applicants Only: The pay range for this position is $55.87 to $100.56 per hour.New York Applicants Only: The pay range for this position is $46.17 to $100.56 per hour.Washington Applicants Only: The hourly pay range for this position is $46.17 to $100.56.
