(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOE1lKOa66w) Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Endpoint Support Specialist will provide quality support to users and company IT equipment, while delivering a high degree of customer service and exceptional day-to-day assistance with essential IT tasks. The candidate must exhibit strong analytical skills and the aptitude to learn the company’s technical systems with a team-oriented attitude. The role will work under the direct supervision of the Director of IT while practicing absolute confidentiality. The candidate must have the ability to travel to local company locations as required to fix and replace IT equipment in a timely manner. The position receives guidance with respect to general objectives. In the majority of tasks and projects assigned, this individual determines methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments while operating within specific policy guidelines. This individual must practice absolute confidentiality. Good judgment and common sense is required in all duties assigned. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. The applicant must be flexible in accommodating their work schedule to meet the company’s variable operating schedule.

Configures, troubleshoots, and/or repairs various company IT equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, and network hardware devices.

Provides Technical Support to end users either in person, via phone, or remote assistance

Understands company software systems and topology and installs, maintains, and configures these systems.

Responsible for company cell phone management, deployment, technical support, and user training.

Assists in the setup and wiring of voice and data cables and jacks.

Deploys, delivers, and completes documentation for new employee IT orientation.

Builds and maintains strong communications and relationships with coworkers and vendors.

Assists with and responds to various IT related problems and/or needs companywide

Conducts new user setup and manages account access and security

Maintains an accurate inventory of IT equipment and supplies (i.e., toners, personal computers, laptops, peripherals, etc.).

Provides basic training to all users including Microsoft Windows and Office products.

Researches equipment for purchase, obtains quotes, and processes purchase orders.

Assists in monitoring servers and performing basic necessary OS maintenance as needed.

Testing and evaluating new technologies and staying up to date of industry advancement and technologies.

Creates and updates IT procedural documentation of assigned tasks.

Administers the records retention and destruction procedures for your department according to the retention schedule outlined in the Records Management Program Manual.

Coordinates IT device installation for significant meetings and provides Audio/Video support meetings at Sunrock.

Required Education/ExperienceObtained or working to obtain a certificate or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT related field required. Three (3) years of desktop support experience required. Candidate must have expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems as well as the Microsoft Office suite. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Current North Carolina Driver’s License required

Certifications are a Preferred (CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL)

Required Skills

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Demonstrated use of I expert personal computer operations and major software suites and cloud services.

Excellent critical thinking skills (e.g., analytical problem solving, decision-making, risk analysis/potential problem analysis, etc.)

Proven ability to install, troubleshoot and maintain hardware

Good communication, both oral and written (e.g., report writing to document work and fixes)

Aptitude to learn and retain company specific software at a high-level, including, but not limited to Command Alkon, Salesforce, Microsoft Products, and GPS tools

Ability to function effectively in help desk environment

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
