This position is needed to support the required work to prep SADLS COBOL code to convert to .NET C#. This is a senior level position that will be responsible for VSAM conversions to DB2 as well as any other system or application prep work that is required to assist in the overall refactoring efforts. The position requires thorough knowledge of CICS. The position also requires thorough knowledge of COBOL and Easytrieve batch jobs utilizing JCL, Zeke and Endevor. The position requires the ability to handle the implementation of small to medium scale technical efforts and the ability to complete detailed technical documentation. The developer must also be able to effectively communicate, in verbal and written form, consult with the clients and other resources and resolve technical problems. This position also requires the developer to be self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks, and can resolve or escalate issues to management in a timely fashion.
Required skills:
5 years of Experienced in utilizing systems development life cycle processes including analysis, requirement solicitation, and documentation
5 years of Experienced with complex user needs through discussion with customers and conveying technical information to clients
5 years of Experienced in complex business functions that are described through use cases and user stories
5 years of Excellent interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
5 years of Experienced in application analysis, design and system integration with COBOL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2
5 years of Experienced in converting VSAM to DB2 - preferred
5 years of Proven experience multitasking and completing work in a timely fashion
