This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for proving support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.What You’ll Do:Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.Conduct building walk arounds to develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings their layouts, functions and complexitiesInvestigate faults, identify causes and effect remediesReview assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads in compliance with the rules defined by the applicable H&S regulation.Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.Good customer relationship skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
