If so, the Oracle Fusion Apps outbound product team has the right opportunity for you.Our team is looking for a top-notch content pro to help us communicate the value of Fusion Apps to customers and internal go-to-market teams. This is a unique opportunity to use your writing and editing skills to make a real difference to readers. The team has broad responsibilities for positioning the value of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Application Suite. We have an outsized influence, often working on high-profile initiatives for very senior executives. Our team members work in remote and hybrid settings.In this role, you will work collaboratively to create internal and external publications and emails with wide, high-profile distribution (hundreds of thousands of viewers monthly). You will use your keen copyediting skills to ensure our work is error-free, and you’ll use your strong organizational skills to help us keep our editorial process on track and meet deadlines. You will use your creative skills to source ideas, research them (including interviewing subject matter experts), bring them to life through your exceptional writing and critical thinking skills, and position them to engage the audience. Your strong intellectual curiosity and ability to thrive in a matrixed organization will make you an invaluable member of the team.Must have:

At least five years of professional writing experience

Excellent copy-editing skills and attention to detail (grammar, product names that follow a taxonomy, etc.)

Thorough knowledge of an established style guide and how to use it (Chicago, MLA, AP, etc.)

Strong writer and communicator; demonstrated experience making complicated topics approachable for a business audience

Solid project management skills and follow up; ability to meet editorial and production deadlines in a quickly moving environment

Good judgment: the ability to prioritize appropriately and understand which things are big vs. small

Clear understanding of what differentiates good writing from bad writing humor and a sense of pride in your work

Proactive mindset

Experience working effectively in a remote environment (this role is remote but could have the option of being hybrid in certain locations)

Nice to have:

Understanding of the enterprise SaaS domain; bonus points for experience with ERP or HCM

Experience writing about AI

Technical skills: good with publishing tools; not afraid to dig in and figure out how systems work; more bonus points for HTML experience

Experience navigating large organizations

Related degree (business, marketing, English, journalism, etc.)

Sense of humor

Responsibilities

Write, edit, and copy edit articles, emails, and other communications with a high degree of accuracy, precision, and attention to detail

Help plan the editorial strategy; and help plan and manage the editorial calendars that support the strategy

Build effective working relationships with other teams including Product Strategy, Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Support, Analyst Relations, Press Relations, Global Customer Programs

Leverage your knowledge of Oracle, our competitors, and our customers’ businesses to source stories for internal and external audiences that highlight Oracle’s competitive differentiators, educate readers about Oracle products and services, or showcase best practices

Research and conduct interviews to get the accurate details needed to write compelling, effective content

Workshop content (e.g., titles, abstracts, etc.) to drive engagement

Measure the impact of our work, and think about ways to increase our impact and increase performance on KPIs

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
