Timmons Group is currently seeking a Traffic Engineer to join Transportation Group located in our Raleigh, NC office location.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and CAD technologyComplete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problemsWork to complete design details and plan setsPerform research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project workAssist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimatesComplete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staffCommunicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staffSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related fieldIdeal candidates would have between one and eight years of experience in Transportation / Traffic Engineering and site plan productionMicroStation proficiency is essentialKnowledge of Traffic Analyses, Traffic Safety, Traffic Forecasting, Traffic Signal Design, ITS Design, Signing Design, Traffic Management Plan Design, and/or Traffic Signal Timing is preferredDOT experience preferredEIT preferred
