Experienced Restaurant Bartender

Tasu Thai & Sushi Bar is looking for an experienced Bartender.

We are looking for a competent Restaurant Bartender to take and deliver orders. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

§ Take beverage orders from guests and servers

§ Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with Tasu Asian Bistro’s standard drink recipes

§ Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars

§ Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system

§ Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).

§ Wash and sterilize glassware

§ Prepare garnishes for drinks and takes orders for bar patrons

§ Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages

§ Clear and reset tables in bar area

§ Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food & beverages

§ Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas

§ Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar

§ Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to hospitality manager

§ Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies

§ Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the hospitality manager or immediate supervisor

§ Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests

§ Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness

Qualifications:

§ Be 21 years of age.

§ Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes

§ Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register

§ Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)

§ Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds

§ Be able to communicate clearly and effectively

§ Patience and customer-oriented approach

§ Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude

§ Responsible and trustworthy

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: From $5 per hour + tips

Experience:

Food service: 1 year (Required)
