Bocci Trattoria & Pizzeria has a Head Chef opening in the Cary location and is in need of a leader who is prepared to function in a high-volume environment where great emphasis is put on quality, consistent, delicious Italian food. The ability to guide your team and work closely with the owners and the front of the house to provide an outstanding guest experience is key!
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate and direct all food preparation from prep through service
Monitor the quality of all food
Track, record, and maintain inventory stock
Delegate daily tasks to sous chef and other kitchen staff and monitor their progress
Order food & supplies for delivery from vendors
Oversee maintenance of kitchen appliances and equipment
Hire and train new kitchen staff
Maintain a clean kitchen, ensuring compliance with food and sanitation laws and guidelines
Requirements and Qualifications:
A passion for cooking
Minimum of 3 years experience in a chef or managerial kitchen position Serv-safe certification; Effective and clear communicator; Skills in planning, designing, and preparing menus and specials; Excellent time management and organizational skills; Proven leadership and creative abilities inside the kitchen; Expert problem solver who thrives under pressure; Top of the line customer service skills.
