Experienced Cook
A North Raleigh culinary destination, Poppyseed Market, is looking for a motivated Cook to join our team!
You will be assisting in maintaining food preparation & menu item creation.
We are looking for someone who cares deeply about good food and quality standards.
You must work well with others in high volume times, maintain a positive attitude, and have an eagerness to take a leadership role.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook foods of all types on a regular basis
Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
Achieve and maintain quality standards, with attention to detail
Qualifications:
Some college and/or advanced training in the food and beverage industry, plus 2 years of related experience, including supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification, or willingness to obtain
Must be organized, skilled with time management, and efficient in hot and cold line production
Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per shift in an environment with extreme temperatures
Skilled with the use of kitchen hand tools or machines needed for the position
Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy
We are Closed on Sundays and most major holidays.
