Responsibilities:

Evaluates and performs credit risk assessments for retailers and retailer applicants. Analyzes and identifies key credit issues and prepares full written report and recommendation to be reviewed by committee

Audits state agency websites in comparison to retailer’s current North Carolina Education Lottery contract. Submits full written renewal reports for review with recommendation, renews retailer contracts, and issues retailer certificates

Processes surety bond claims and/or letter of credit draws for delinquent Retailers. Confers with credit lenders and trade references to exchange payment history on retailers and retailer applicants. Verifies surety bonds and letters of credit with financial institutions

Reviews active retailer accounts for alterations or breaches. Requests additional paperwork and background investigations as needed

Maintains databases that support data management and workflows by running, editing, and uploading daily reports

Ensures outstanding monies owed to the lottery and other state agencies are collected before owners or officers are approved for a new contract. Completes retailer approvals on contract before submitting to vendor for training and installation

Communicate with retailers and retailer Applicants to obtain necessary compliance. Coordinates conference calls with state agencies to aid retailers and retailer applicants in resolving compliance matters

Requirements:

Associate Degree Preferred and 2 year of experience

Exhibits excellent customer service skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Skilled in word processing, typing 50 words per minute

Knowledge of and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

Ability to meet deadlines, work well in stressful situations, work collaboratively, work independently, exhibit sound judgement, and can quickly switch gears in a fast pace environment

Skilled in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Ability to work extended hours

Hiring Rate: 42,213 (this non-exempt position will be filled at or near the posted salary)

Closing Date: February 11, 2024

This position is eligible for part-time telework. All employees must reside in NC
