We are looking for a hardworking Construction Estimator to join our team, in the triangle area. The main responsibilities for the position include: calculating (cast in place concrete) construction cost estimates, planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution of projects. The professional estimators can negotiate with a wide range of clients to make accurate cost estimates and manpower budgets. They also work closely with our construction project team to ensure a successful project from beginning to completion. They estimate work by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. In addition, they estimate labor, material, and time requirements in order to be able to compute the overall cost of the project.
Duties-Responsibilities: Maintain a constant workflow of projects geared for construction business in the triangle area.
Cultivate existing and new relationships with clients and general contractors.
Perform project estimates with estimating software and build budgets for CIP "capital improvement plan" concrete scopes. Responsible for turning over to the pre-construction department, completed estimates with scope of work, field budgets and cost analysis. Working with a pre-construction coordinator for material quotes from vendors.
Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.
Collaborating with the business team and conducting site visits when needed to have a better working knowledge of every capability.
Qualifications:
Proven working experience as a construction estimator.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel preferred.
If it is bilingual better but not necessary. This is an in person part time position.
