Job Description for EdenSong Homestead
We grow wheatgrass for our commercial crop. We have been growing it for 25 yrs, making us the oldest commercial wheatgrass growers in the Southeast. We also produce some bonsai. We are a very small operation. Currently only 3 people. One long time person has to leave because of vax injury.
A partial list of the tasks follows:
Filling flats with heavy soil
Seeding wheatgrass flats
Cutting the wheatgrass for the customers
Keeping the property kept up for customers
Delivery of wheatgrass to Wilson – pays regular wages plus $10 gas
A Confidentiality & Contractor Agreement must be signed.
This is a part-time position. Generally we work (Mon, Wed & Fri) in between 15 & 21 hours per week depending on the work load.
Successful candidate needs a good back to be able to dig the soil for the flats. Currently a 78 yr old man is doing it for reference. The other person working here (me) is 72 yrs old.
We can communicate with some Spanish, and use Google Translate for the rest.
Retired vets are encouraged to apply.
Other candidates that did well here are home school moms & children.
Pay is $11.00 per hour & a .50 raise yearly til you reach $14.00.
