Job Summary
We’re looking for a reliable Heavy Machinery / Crane Mechanic to keep our equipment running strong. You’ll handle inspections, maintenance, and repairs on cranes, chip trucks, and other heavy gear. The goal is simple: safe, efficient equipment with minimal downtime and clear records of the work done.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect and maintain cranes, chip trucks, and other heavy equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues
Replace or rebuild motors, pumps, gearboxes, brakes, hydraulic systems, cables, and other parts
Tear down and reassemble equipment so it works safely and properly
Weld, fabricate, or source parts when needed
Keep accurate logs of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
Follow safety rules and guidelines, including OSHA and manufacturer specs
Coordinate with the rest of the maintenance crew to schedule downtime and avoid disruptions
Respond to emergencies and do field repairs in various conditions
Qualifications
3-5 years hands-on experience with heavy equipment (formal schooling a plus but not required)
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic skills
Ability to use diagnostic tools, read schematics and manuals
Welding, machining or fabrication skills are helpful
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
Able to lift heavy parts, work outdoors, at height, in varying weather conditions
Safety first mindset; detail oriented; good under pressure
Certifications (crane inspection, rigging, NCCCO, etc.) are a plus
