Apex horse boarding/training facility seeking a farm assistant on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays to complete morning barn chores and help with general farm maintenance. Hours are 7a-3p on M, W, and Th. 7a-1p on Fridays. Farm includes 17 well behaved, easy to handle mares and geldings. Chores include stall cleaning, re-bedding, dumping, filling waters and keeping the waters cleaned, feed, hay and turnout of horses, keeping tackroom, wash stalls and bathroom tidy, blowing the barn aisle, arena maintenance, and grooming/tacking of horses for trainer. The ideal person for this position has previous horse experience, a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and good communication skills. Barn atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. Potential for future increases in work hours if desired.
