Pipeline Utilities, Inc., is based in Raleigh and offers a broad range of underground utility services as well as site work construction. For 40 years we have been recognized for the great care we take with clients and employees alike.
We are seeking an experienced construction excavator operator. Work using your skills as a an operator and as you work, learn directly from our experienced team the knowledge and skill-set. You will work with a team of 3 – 5 other employees to install pipes and structures for water, sewer, storm, steam, and chilled water systems at various projects in the Triangle area.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Conduct routine inspections on equipment including moving parts, welds, and structural integrity prior to operating.
-Inform supervisor of all defects and malfunctions.
-May assist mechanic in repairing equipment.
-Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment.
-Monitor gauges and other indicators ensuring safe operation.
-Grade, shape, and form work area.
-Backfill, spread fill, stabilize stone, load trucks and dump buckets, transport dump buckets, and move equipment – including rigging and attaching equipment to bucket hook.
-Utilizes trench box, sloping, sheeting and/or shoring in excavations over five feet in depth.
-Maintain records of time worked and materials used.
-When not operating, servicing or repairing equipment, may assist in other operations as designated by supervisor.
-Other duties may be assigned.
-Be alert to job site, other people, equipment and potential hazards in order to complete tasks safely.
-A commitment to Pipeline Utilities’ safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications include:
-2+ years of direct utilities experience required.
-Willing and able to understand and follow directions to perform tasks.
-Willing and able to do heavy physical labor, outside, in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind).
-Accuracy, alertness, and ability to communicate with crew members and work as a team.

-8-10 hour shift

Experience:
Direct Underground Utilities: 2 years (Required)
Driver's License (Preferred but not required)
