At community events, you could talk for days with stakeholders, listening to their questions and providing just the right response. Whenever and however you are communicating − with words, with videos, or in person − you know your audience and how to reach it. A content creator? Yes, that’s you in the truest sense of the word. You can find stories on your own. You collect facts and data, and mine them too. You can build strong personal relationships with sources to create the content that tells the lottery’s story. Responsibilities: Use research, reporting and interviews to craft effective messages and stories.Create engaging content for Lottery corporate communications, from media releases and newsletters to websites and blog posts.Produce presentations that engagingly and convincingly share the lottery’s story with others.Plan, develop, and participate in community relation events with stakeholders.Produce content for internal communications, including the lottery’s Intranet site – The Ticket – and its weekly newsletter. Requirements: Four-year college degree, preferably in communications, journalism or marketing.Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in communications, journalism or public relations.Advanced presentation software skills with PowerPoint or Prezi.Excellent writing and editing skills.Interviewed candidates will be asked to submit a portfolio of their work (media releases, newsletters, presentations, and stories or articles) and will complete a writing assessment. Hiring Range: $61,804 (this exempt position will be filled at or near the posted salary) Position requires in-state travel multiple times a year to work at conferences and meet with stakeholders. After six months, this position is eligible for partial telework.
