Our Sanford, NC-based handbag company is looking for a detail-oriented Handbag Seamstress to help us create beautiful, durable products. This flexible position is perfect for someone who thrives working independently.
The Role:
This is a flexible, per-bag paid position that combines on-site work with the ability to sew from your own home.
One Day On-Site: You will come to our Sanford workshop one day per week (scheduling flexible) to cut materials, receive supplies, and drop off finished items.
Work-from-Home Sewing: You will take cut materials home to complete the sewing of handbags and accessories.
Quality Control: Maintain our high standards for stitching, alignment, and overall finish on every item.
Occasional On-Site Support: Have the ability to work on-site for sewing as needed or for larger production runs.
What We're Looking For:
Proven Sewing Experience: Extensive, practical experience using industrial or heavy-duty sewing machines.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to measurements, straight stitching, and pattern matching. Quality is paramount.
Independent Worker: Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage production schedules and quality standards without constant supervision.
Located Near Sanford, NC: Must be able to commute to our Sanford shop once per week.
Handbag Experience is a PLUS: Experience working with heavy fabrics, faux leather, or creating structured items like bags is a significant advantage.
Compensation:
This is a per-bag piece rate position, paid upon completion of quality-checked items.
