Athletic Edge is the premier sports massage business in the downtown Raleigh area. We work with clients of all levels athletic ability - marathon runners, triathletes, Carolina Ballet, track & field, and those that just want to live a healthy lifestyle. We are looking for a therapist with at least 1-year experience who has a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, knowledge of various massage modalities, and be able to effectively communicate with their clients. The therapist will evaluate & treat clients through muscle testing and various massage modalities. Suggest stretches, and/or home treatment plans, and keep S.O.A.P. notes. Don't worry, there will be plenty of training to help you in these areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule clients through our Online Scheduling software.
Practice hygiene and other sanitary procedures in the office, the treatment room, and the massage table.
Maintain proper internal paperwork/treatment records.
Handle and complete the fee transactions after each session.
Discuss with the client, in detail, the course of treatment, given the physical health of the client.
Education and Experience:
Graduate from and accredited massage school.
Minimum of 1 year experience - sports massage experience is a plus.
MUST HAVE CURRENT LMBT LICENSE.
