Job description:
Nycom is a 40-year old company focused on “Excellence and Customer Allegiance”. With offices throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, our specialty is interior construction involving laboratory casework (furniture), exhaust hoods, custom millwork and equipment for clients in the Educational, Industrial, Research and Healthcare markets. Nycom is looking for an installer with construction experience interested in joining our team.
Job Description/Duties:
Installation layout.
Unload and receive material onsite with assistance
Distribute material to final locations with assistance
Perform onsite installation of cabinetry, custom millwork, countertops and accessories
Inspect casework installations for quality and completeness.
Coordination on site with project owners, general contractors, and other trades.
Represent Nycom to the owner, GC, Architect and client.
Coordinate with Project Management
Work through and correct quality items and punchlists.
Travel up to 80% of the work week. Plenty of work in the Raleigh area.
Skills Required:
Be ready to travel 80% of the time depending on territory assigned.
Physically able to work in the field, at construction sites on a daily basis.
Be available to work overtime as needed.
Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Be able to work directly with other Nycom employees to achieve completed installations on time.
Be able to read and interpret construction schedules and drawings.
Previous experience in cabinet making/installation, countertop making/installation or custom millwork installation is a huge plus.
Be able to pass Pre Employment Physical and Drug Testing
