Job listing is for a Master Carpenter or remodeler, but will consider other applicants based off of skill level/desired pay. What you bring to the table in terms of work quality + efficiency will reflect the pay you can earn. We prioritize quality work over speed. Most of the work is in/around the raleigh/durham/cary areas, with occasional projects further out.
Working hours will be 8:00 am to 6:00 pm M-F with optional weekends if youre interested in making additional money. Pay can be negotiated for a day rate or an hourly rate, whichever will be most comfortable for you. Paychecks are cut on every Friday, and we do not hold the first check. You get paid for the work you put in.
The position will require all types of carpentry knowledge from framing, siding, trim/cabinets, flooring, rot repairs, ect + minor understanding of other trades which could include basic tasks such as minor painting, minor sheetrock repairs, replacing light fixtures, receptacles, ect. The primary skills we are looking for pertain to carpentry, as the rest can be learned on the job if necessary. You will be expected to be comfortable working on ladders/walkboards and in tight spaces if/when necessary.
You will be expected to be able to "run" a job on your own, with a helper provided. All materials necessary to complete the work will be provided, and additional materials needed to complete change orders will be promptly delivered to your sites. The full scopes of work will be provided to you prior to starting any job. You will not be responsible for disposal of old materials (unless there is a dumpster on site, in which case the dumpster should be utilized), but the sites should be tidy/staged/cleaned up for the old trash to be promptly picked up + hauled off of the site.
