Conducting geospatial environmental exposure assessments in support of Endangered Species Assessments (ESA).
Conducting non-ESA environmental exposure modeling exercises in support of development, re-registration, or expansion projects globally.
Aligning with project teams to set realistic timelines, plan and complete tasks, and summarize key outputs for onward communication.
Representing the Environmental Fate Exposure Modeling function on various internal and external teams.
If you have
Advanced degree in Natural Sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Environmental Science, Soil Science) or Applied Sciences (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Agronomy, Geography / Geographic Information Systems) or related field.
PhD degree or Master’s degree + 2 years minimum of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree + 4 years minimum of relevant experience.
Minimum of three years of experience directly conducting geospatial assessments related to the environmental fate and behavior of crop protection chemicals or other organic chemicals or addressing hydrological or ecological topics.
Experience with environmental chemical exposure modeling (e.g., using regulatory software such as PWC and AgDrift).
Proficiency in geographic information systems (GIS), specifically with ESRI software family (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise) and/or QGIS, is required. Familiarity with Google Earth Engine is a plus.
Proficiency in (big) geospatial data science, including expertise in programming/scripting languages, with preference given to Python (experience with libraries such as GeoPandas, ArcPy, Shapely, GDAL, Folium, Leefmap, Rasterio, Xarray, etc.).
Ability to travel up to 10%.
