Leveraging your MS or PhD in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry or Engineering and your industrial experience in an R&D setting, you will develop and implement complex formulation R&D programs supporting BASF Professional & Specialty Solutions.
Engaging with stakeholders from Marketing, Development, Regulatory, and Operations, you will understand business needs and determine the best formulation development path forward.
Demonstrating thorough knowledge of formulation technologies, you will design, conduct, and interpret experiments to advance formulation development while ensuring registerability and manufacturability for domestic and international markets.
Utilizing existing and new formulation technologies, you will foster innovation within the formulation community.
As a strong leader, you will train, mentor, and supervise personnel in the Professional & Specialty Solutions formulation and analytical labs.
Participating in the scale-up and manufacturing launch of developed products, you will communicate project status through technical reports and presentations while providing technical and commercial support post-launch.
If you
Have a Master's degree (required) or a PhD (preferred) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Possess a Master's degree with 10 years of experience or a PhD with 5 years of experience, preferably in crop protection or related fields; candidates with experience in industrial chemicals or fragrances are also welcome.
Demonstrate knowledge of formulation development for a broad range of product types, including aerosol, liquid/dilutable, encapsulated, granular, and extruded products, as well as application technologies.
Are experienced in training, mentoring, developing, and supervising personnel in a lab environment.
Have hands-on experience operating and maintaining formulation and analytical equipment.
Possess direct experience in conducting pilot runs and scale-up to support the manufacturing of new products.
Exhibit a creative solution orientation to address formulation challenges and meet a broad range of customer requirements.
