The cement terminal operation in Salisbury, NC is looking for someone who is hardworking and dedicated to become part of the team. This position reports to the Sr. Terminal Manager and will be responsible for shipping and receiving packaged cement, maintenance, and other daily tasks at the facility. Following is a list of some of the tasks and responsibilities.

Be involved in and aware of all aspects of package cement storage and distribution.

Operate a forklift for unloading railcars, loading/unloading trucks, warehouse organization and storage.

Participate in the loading and unloading of package cement products from railcars or trucks; coordinate package loading activities with customer drivers and sales personnel.

Responsible for ensuring customer orders are filled accurately.

Promptly address customer concerns and refer more complex problems to the supervisor for resolution.

Ensure shipping and receiving paperwork is completed accurately and timely.

Manual handling of packaged material from damaged pallets to remove damaged bags as required.

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on terminal equipment.

Perform housekeeping of the facility.

Follow all safety policies, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment

Who we are looking for:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Previous forklift experience desired

Prior material handling experience strongly preferred

Must have proven mechanical skills and willingness to plan and carry out routine maintenance activities.

Demonstrated organizational and communication skills

Demonstrated technical knowledge with computers; hardware and software, MS Office products and SAP preferred

Clerical skills a plus

Willingness and capable of working extended hours and weekends if needed.

Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds on a regular basis

Demonstrated commitment and ability to follow safe working practices in a team environment.
